Mykines or Tindhólmur?
Get a unique opportunity to experience two of the most sought out destiantions Faroe Islands has to offer. We offer public tours to both Mykines and Tindhólmur. Every Monday the destionation is to Mykines and on every Wednesday it’s Tindhólmur. The tours include transport from Tórshavn to the destination and back. Guided tour
Mykines:
Get as far west at west goes. Mykines, the puffin island, is the perfect trip for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the bird life. Every summer thousands of puffins migrate to the Faroe Islands - but mostly to Mykines, the Mekka for puffins. The puffin season is from April to September. Read more here.

The land of maybe?
In the ‘land of maybe’, the weather forecast can be very unreliable - you never know what the islands will throw at you. At one moment it might be windy and rainy, but at the next moment there can be sunshine and a lovely breeze. Therefore, the weather dictates where and what is possible. Did you know 30% of all trips to Mykines in the summer of 2022 were canceled due to weather. This is the reality of the Faroe Islands.
At Outdoor Faroe Islands we pride ourselves in being flexible and providing a unique experience for our customers regardless of the weather conditions. In the case the circumstances won’t allow us to travel to Mykines or Tindhólmur we will try to present you with unique alternative. This alternative can be everything from a tour to another location or an adventure day near Tórshavn. This means it’s not a day gone to waste, but it will be an opportunity won, where you get to experience something completely different. If this should happen and you don’t want go to the alternative destination, you are welcome to cancel your booking with full refund.
