Outdoor Faroe Islands.
Since 2017, Outdoor Faroe Islands has been providing exclusive excursions around the Faroe Islands. With our expertise and taste for adventures we want to deliver the most unforgettable tours in the Faroe Islands. At Outdoor Faroe Islands we try to encompass every aspect of adventure where the cornerstone is the Faroese nature. We are a group of nature and adventure enthusiast who have years of experience with everything adventure; climbing, kayaking, cliff jumping, zip lining and rappelling. Our kayaking instructors are internationally IPP certified instructors while our climbing instructors are internationally UIAA certified instructors. This means you are in good hands at Outdoor Faroe Islands.
Now, enough with the certifications. Who are we as people? The Faroese have always been spontaneous, relaxed and a free spirited people. Some say it’s because of the weather and its unpredictability. We always have to be ready to seize the sunny days and reconsider our plans on a stormy day. We want our customers to feel the easygoing spirit. Our mission is to ensure that our customers have an enjoyable and memorable experience from start to finish. We strive to make them feel happy, welcomed, and taken care of at all times. We understand that travel can be stressful, which is why we go above and beyond to meet the needs of our customers and make them feel safe and comfortable. Our team is dedicated to creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere, where our customers can truly let go and enjoy themselves. We aim to provide the perfect balance of relaxation and excitement to suit every individual's preferences. We believe that travel is all about making new memories and having fun, and we are committed to delivering this to our customers.

Our nature is our playground. To us the Faroe Islands are a real natural wonder and something we treasure immensely. One of our core philosophies and values at Outdoor is the preservation of the islands and to work in a respectable and sustainable manner to ensure that the islands go unharmed for future generations. That's why we are committed to operating in a sustainable way, using eco-friendly practices and minimising our impact on the environment. In addition to our environmental efforts, we also support local communities and work with organizations to protect the unique flora and fauna of the Faroe Islands. We believe that it is our duty to not only operate sustainably, but to actively contribute to the preservation of the islands.

At our adventure travel agency, safety is our top priority. We understand that participating in adventure activities can be exciting, but it is important to prioritize safety to ensure that everyone has a fun and enjoyable experience. That is why we take every precaution to ensure that our trips are completely safe, including conducting thorough risk assessments, providing proper training and equipment, and having experienced and qualified guides on hand to lead every trip. We believe that by prioritising safety, we can help our clients have the best possible experience while on their adventure. We achieve this by providing you with a professional team that has a lot of experience working with people in the Faroese nature, where your needs and safety is of outmost importance.

The land of maybe?
In the ‘land of maybe’, the weather forecast can be very unreliable - you never know what the islands will throw at you. At one moment it might be windy and rainy, but at the next moment there can be sunshine and a lovely breeze. Therefore, the weather dictates where and what is possible. Did you know 30% of all trips to Mykines in the summer of 2022 were canceled due to weather. This is the reality of the Faroe Islands.
At Outdoor Faroe Islands we pride ourselves in being flexible and providing a unique experience for our customers regardless of the weather conditions. In the case the circumstances won’t allow us to travel to Mykines or Tindhólmur we will try to present you with unique alternative. This alternative can be everything from a tour to another location or an adventure day near Tórshavn. This means it’s not a day gone to waste, but it will be an opportunity won, where you get to experience something completely different. If this should happen and you don’t want go to the alternative destination, you are welcome to cancel your booking with full refund.
